The Frontier Remastered Saga Ready to Launch in 2021

Square-Enix is indeed a very well known developer and publisher for its JRPG game specialty. With brilliant activities since the 80s before finally joining Enix, the Japanese company has launched a lot of JRPGs. No wonder the mechanics of some of the titles they have released have also become a benchmark for other developers.

Some gamers may know Square-Enix from its Final Fantasy alone, but they have various other interesting JRPGs such as Dragon Quest, Vagrant Story, Brave Fencer Musashi, to Star Ocean. Not including some of the classic titles such as Trials of Mana and SaGa Frontier.

The success of Final Fantasy is an open secret, but they still seem to have not forgotten some of these classic titles. Trials of Mana for example, which was remade in 3D and a more attractive visual appearance. Now, they are trying to bring back one of their classic JRPGs, the SaGa Frontier.

This surprise was announced via Square-Enix's official Twitter account. That they will release SaGa Frontier Remastered for PC, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch in 2021. This version will provide HD visuals, a new main character, and several updates for events, cutscenes, and other improvements.

SaGa Frontier Remastered is not the first SaGa series remastered by Square-Enix. Previously they announced the Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy and Romancing SaGa 3 for fans.

SaGa Frontier is a JRPG game released in 1998 on PlayStation 1. This series is not the first iteration of the entire series, because the first iteration is titled Final Fantasy Legend or Makai Toushi SaGa. This game has a unique system called "Free Scenario System" which allows the player to enjoy the story so that it is not linear.

SaGa Frontier Remastered will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch in 2021.
