Cyberpunk Review 2077: Big Expectations Ending Mess (Part 3)

Fun Combat Gameplay But Sometimes So Bad

With the previous explanation of customization of attributes and weapons, you can determine your own fighting style, both close and long range. For those of you who don't want to get involved too much in combat, you can increase the skill perks attribute for damage from handguns and other weapons. Especially for headshot damage. So you can kill while stealth or from afar.

But if you want to be barbaric, you can increase the skill perks attribute for armor, resistance, and movement so that you enjoy more close combat action-packed and more exciting.

Unfortunately, the combat that is presented also has flaws such as being too easy to solve. During regular combat, I think some enemies when they enter in the middle of the mission (halfway through the story), they have smarter AI like flanking (turning to surround) or doing special strategies that require me to come out of hiding and make my blood critical. . Apparently not. I'm just afraid of their weapon damage which is bigger.

Welcome to Cybugpunk 2077

Seeing the many bugs and glitches as the main problem, it looks like this game is more suitable to be called Cybugpunk 2077. After all, it all started with the marketing of CD Projekt Red which lured that Cyberpunk 2077 was a different game from the others. Displaying footage containing an interesting narrative and gameplay will clearly give gamers big expectations.
Cyberpunk - Cybugpunk

However, if you pay close attention to every footage that exists from the start to the nearing of the release of this game, there is something really strange. For example, all the marketing narratives that are highlighted say that this game will be released for PC, PS4, Xbox One and will later follow for adjustments in the next gen PS5 and Xbox Series S / X consoles. This means that since the beginning, CD Projekt Red has indeed told us that this game is very playable on the last gen console of PS4 and Xbox One. But it's not.

Then, approaching the official release time, the trailers circulating are footage from the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S / X. There isn't any footage from the PS4 and Xbox One. By displaying qualified graphics on the next gen console, it's natural for everyone to think that this game is indeed very visually perfect. But again no, this game is even very flawed to play on PS4 and Xbox One. When asked why there are so many bugs and glitches in the last gen console, CD Projekt Red only argues that they are too focused on developing on the next gen console.

Conclusion: buy it now or who knows when?

For me personally, Cyberpunk 2077 is a masterpiece but a sinful work. The storyline, gameplay, graphics, everything is perfect if only there were no bugs and glitches that haunt the game and CD Projekt Red can patch some parts that can be maximized. The big expectations even ended up shattered.

With the many reasons for the Cyberpunk 2077 review stated above, you need to know three things. First, never pre-order a game even from a well-known developer. Wait for the existing review, read, just buy it to avoid disappointment like this Cyberpunk 2077.

Second, if you have already purchased the digital or physical version of Cyberpunk 2077, don't refund it and wait for the latest patch update (launched January-February 2021). But if you still want to do a refund, that's okay too. It's just a shame if you refund and later when the game is good, you buy it back again.

Third, Cyberpunk 2077 is very suitable to be played, especially for those of you who like long game narratives, open worlds and want new experiences. But for those of you who haven't bought it, I recommend waiting for the latest update, at least until most of the bugs and glitches are cleared. So you can explore Night City with V without emotional souls.

And lastly, I have always believed that CD Projekt Red will never disappoint its fans.
