PGL Major Stockholm 2021 itself is planned to be held offline and online. Offline itself is planned to be held at Avicii Arena, Stockholm, Sweden, where this place is also planned to be used for The International 10 before moving to Bucharest, Romania. To go online, each team will compete in their respective hotels.
Stages and Formats in PGL Major Stockholm 2021
There are three stages in the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, namely The New Challengers Stage, The New Legends Stage, and The New Champions Stage. The New Challengers Stage (26-29 October 2021) and The New Challengers Stage (30 October-2 November 2021) will run online. Meanwhile, The New Champions Stage (4-7 November 2021) will be held offline.
The New Challengers Stage and The New Legends Stage will use the Team Swiss System format. This system makes all teams have an equal and fair chance where in rounds 1 and 2, a Best of 1 (BO1) match is applied. Henceforth, from round 3 to 5, the Best of 3 (BO3) match will be applied. The top eight teams will proceed to the next stage, namely The New Legends Stage.
Just like The New Challengers Stage, at The New Legends Stage, there will be eight top teams that will be taken to proceed to the next stage, namely The New Champions Stage. Different from the previous two stages, in The New Champions Stage, a single-elimination bracket system will be applied and all matches will be played with BO3.

Points Earned by Teams at PGL Major Championship 2021
Regarding the distribution of points that will be obtained by the teams competing in the PGL Major Championship 2021 this time is different. These points will be obtained by the teams competing in the order in which they were eliminated in the PGL Major Championship 2021.
Teams placed 19th to 17th will get 60 points, 15th and 16th place get 105 points, 12th to 14th place get 200 points, and 11th to 9th place get 330 points.
For the 7th and 8th place teams, each will get 700 points + 250 additional points. Teams in 6th and 5th place will get 700 points + 500 additional points, 3rd and 4th place will get 1100 points + 1250 points, runner-up will get 1400 points + 2500 points, and the champion will get 1400 points + 4000 points and tickets to compete in BLAST Premier: World Final 2021.
Just like the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) system in Dota 2, the function of these points is of course for a ticket to compete in BLAST Premier: World Final 2021. Only the top three teams in the acquisition of points can get tickets to the stage.
Currently, only Gambit Esports (winner in BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021), Heroic (winner in ESL Pro League S13), Natus Vincere or Na'Vi (winner in ESL Pro League S14) and G2 Esports (the team with the most points earned ) only has secured one place in BLAST Premier: World Final 2021. Only one place is provided by the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, which is for the team that wins. The remaining three spots will be up for grabs based on the points earned by the CS:GO teams.
Who will be the champion? Is Na'Vi, the team that is 'hot' in 2021? Or just other 'dark horse' teams? Let's just watch the excitement of the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 later!
